I coach, mentor and advise from both experience and having a strong academic foundation. I have an Executive MBA from Henley Business School of the University of Reading, UK (2018) and I am currently studying towards my Honours in Psychology.
As a Business Executive I have won several International Business Performance Awards and also both failed and succeeded in starting my own businesses.
As Employee I have received several accolades during my career and was also retrenched a few times.
I changed my career from Technical Specialist to Business Leader, to Management Consultant and Executive Coach to Executive, Career and Life Coach. I received my Executive MBA at the age of 58 and am now qualifying myself as a Psychologist.
I am qualified to give 'Practical Advice that works' underscored by proven, research-based methodologies and frameworks.

Geordie van der Nest is an experienced Business Executive with 15 years experience as an Executive Coach and Mentor, Business Advisor and Management Consultant.
He is an Accredited Executive Associate of the Institute for Independent Business (IIB), a Certified Management Consultant and Certified Master Coach by the Institute for Management Consultants and Master Coaches of South Africa (IMCSA) and a Certified 7 Stage Business Advisor (C7C).
Geordie has 12 years' experience as an Executive. He worked in several types of businesses, in various industries, from start-ups to global corporations.

How would you rate yourself physiologically on a scale of 1 to 10? On a scale where 1 would indicate that you are terminally ill, and 10 that you are in top physical condition (healthy, fit and having an amazing physique), most people will recognise that they are average, and will rate themselves accordingly.
Yet, when asked to rate their mental health, emotional stability and being a fully functioning person, most people rate themselves quite high. Why is it, that we accept that physiologically we are average, but psychologically we believe we are in prime condition?
The fact is, that similar to most of us being physiologically average, most of us are also psychologically average. We rarely will admit it to others, probably due to the unfounded stigma associated with it, but more importantly, we often don't even admit it to ourselves.

Geordie facilitated a strategic review session, to a multicultural group representing five nationalities and different levels of English proficiency, yet he created a truly participatory environment. His ability to guide conversations by listening carefully and integrating the audience's comprehension, while ably steering the conversation to tangible outcomes, was well done. The final product of the session was exceptional.
