About Geordie
I am inspired to help people achieve personal, career and business success. It is most fulfilling to help people on their journey to Personal Mastery and achieve their personal goals; to help them find meaning in their lives and to transform to live a life of purpose and contribution.
I coach, mentor and advise from both experience and having a strong academic foundation. I have an Executive MBA from Henley Business School of the University of Reading, UK (2018) and I am currently studying towards my Honours in Psychology.
As a Business Executive I have won several International Business Performance Awards and also both failed and succeeded in starting my own businesses.
As Employee I have received several accolades during my career and was also retrenched a few times.
I changed my career from Technical Specialist to Business Leader, to Management Consultant and Executive Coach to Executive, Career and Life Coach. I received my Executive MBA at the age of 58 and am now qualifying myself as a Psychologist.
I am qualified to give 'Practical Advice that works' underscored by proven, research-based methodologies and frameworks.

Geordie is a Member of the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA) with divisional membership of The South African Association for Counselling Psychology (SAACP).
Geordie van der Nest is an experienced Business Executive with 15 years experience as an Executive Coach and Mentor, Business Advisor and Management Consultant.
He is an Accredited Executive Associate of the Institute for Independent Business (IIB), a Certified Management Consultant and Certified Master Coach by the Institute for Management Consultants and Master Coaches of South Africa (IMCSA) and a Certified 7 Stage Business Advisor (C7C).
Geordie has 12 years' experience as an Executive. He worked in several types of businesses, in various industries, from start-ups to global corporations.
He holds an Executive MBA from Henley Business School of the University of Reading, UK (2018) and is currently studying towards his Honours in Psychology.
He is the Registrar at the Institute for Management Consultants and Master Coaches of South Africa, Program Director at OpenCircle (for Real Business Achievement) and Managing Director and Principal Life Coach at Heads-up Life.
